Diese Geschichte hat sich vor ein paar Monaten in einer kleinen Stadt in Irland zugetragen und obwohl sie ein wenig wie eine Alfred Hitchcock-Erzaehlung klingt, hat sie tatsaechlich stattgefunden!
This story happened about a month ago in a little town in Ireland, and
even though it may sound like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's real!
Es war inmitten einer sehr dunklen und stuermischen Nacht, als ein Mann am Strassenrand lief, in der Hoffnung per Anhalter weiterzukommen. Da es Nacht war, gab es kaum Autos auf der Strasse und keine Lichter erhaelten die dunkle Chausee. Der Sturm war so heftig, dass er kaum mehr als ein, zwei Meter weit blicken konnte. Ploetzlich tauchten in der Ferne die Scheinwerfer eines Autos auf, kamen auf ihn zu, um scheinbar grundlos neben ihm zu halten.
It was the middle of a very dark and stormy night, a guy was on the side
of the road hitchhiking. As the night rolled on, cars were scarce, and
no lights lined the street. The storm was so strong he could barely see
a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly in the distance he saw the headlights
of a car coming towards him and without any reason it slowed to a stand
still beside him.Ohne zu zoegern stieg der Mann ein und schlug die Beifahrertuer zu, als ihm auffaellt, dass niemand hinter'm Steuer sitzt. Ganz ploetzlich beginnt das Auto weiterzufahren. Der Mann sieht auf die Strasse vor ihm und erkennt in der Ferne eine scharfe Kurve. Voellig veraengstigt faengt er an, zu beten, um sein Leben bettelnd.
Immer noch im Schockzustand erscheint kurz vor der Kurve eine Hand aus dem Nichts und dreht im letzten Moment das Lenkrad. Gelaehmt vor Schreck sieht der Mann die Hand kurz vor jeder Kurve auftauchen. Er nimmt all seine Kraft zusammen, oeffnet die Tuer, rollt hinaus auf den Asphalt, steht auf und rennt so schnell er kann in die naechste Stadt.
Without hesitation, the guy hurriedly gets into the car and closes the
door only to realize there is no one sitting behind the wheel. All of a
sudden the car begins to move, the guy looks at the road ahead and
notices a sharp curve coming his way. Scared, he starts to pray,
begging for his life. Still in shock, but just before he hits the curve,
a hand appears through the window and turns the wheel. Paralysed with
terror, the guy watches how the hand appears every time they approach a
curve. Gathering all the strength he has, the guy grabs the door latch,
rolls out onto the pavement and runs as fast as he can to the nearest
town.
Tropfnass und immer noch schockiert laeuft ins gut besuchte Dorfpub, bittet um zwei Schuss Whiskey und beginnt jedem von seinen schrecklichen Erlebnissen zu berichten. Alle sind wie am Boden verwurzelt und von Erstaunen gebannt, als sie den Mann zitternd und weinend, aber sicherlich nicht betrunken gegenueber stehen.
Dripping wet and in shock the guy runs into a crowded local bar, asks
for two shots of whisky and begins to tell everybody about the horrible
experience he just went through. Everyone is glued in silence and
amazement as they notice the guy shaking, crying but clearly not drunk.
Nach ungefaehr einer halben Stunde laufen zwei Typen in die gleiche Bar und erstaunt sagt der eine zum anderen: "Guck Mick, da ist dieses Arschloch, dass sich ins Auto gesetzt hat, waehrend wir geschoben haben!"
About half an hour later two guys walk into the same bar and in
amazement one says to the other. "Look Mick, that's the as*h*le that
got in the car when we were pushing it!"-->End(e)<--
